Windows 7 to 10 upgrade deactivates Office on most computers

I've upgraded just about a dozen different computers from Windows 7 to Windows 10 using the media creation tool. Most had Office versions 2010 thru 2016 installed for years. I can't remember any of them NOT requiring me to reactivate Office after the upgrade to Windows 10. Am I doing something wrong during the update process or is this to be expected?

    Thank you,
    Steve

    Something doesn't sound right.

I did the same upgrade a few months ago from W7 Ultimate with a MSOffice2010 installation., and nothing was deactivated. MSOffice2010 continued to work just as it always had before.

Most of the computers were running Office 2013 or 2016
