    Office 2013 activation problem

    Hi,

I just successfully upgraded my machine with Win 7 to Win 10. But I had to do the install that erases old files and settings. Among those settings was MS Office 2013. Now I tried to reinstall it and I get a message that says my key has been activated the maximum number of times. But it was on this very computer earlier today before I upgraded to Win 10. It is also on another computer. I cannot find a way to officially deactivate it so that I can activate on my new Win 10 machine. If I uninstall it from my old machine, does MS somehow know this and then make it possible to add to my new machine? Thanks.

If that doesn't work, is there somewhere I can purchase a legitimate activation key?

If you have a retail key you can phone activate it (after removing it from other PC's) .. but it will need to be done via this

    Self Service for Mobile

as the phone option was removed from Office 2013.

Workaround: "Telephone activation is no longer supported for your product" error when activating Office - Office Support
