Trying to setup Laptop finally with MS outlook, and wanted to move the Outlook data files to my secondary storage drive, to limit writes on SSD drive (128gb m.2 ssd in laptop) Is it worth the hassle of trying to get it setup properly?
did same thing months back on Desktop, but don't know if i will again after next clean install or not
You can move the file to another drive without issue. Just make sure you point to the file's location. Which version of Outlook?
BTW I've got mine on my OS drive an have no worries about SSD writes. If I were worried about writes, I wouldn't have bought an SSD. I've got five SSD's in my system and no HDD's
Yeah i tend to worry on writes, i guess i really shouldn't anymore, as its a pain in the rear trying to get it to have all the data files on D Drive i'm finding out

Guess i'll stop worrying on the writes, and just enjoy system performance and such
((I was new to SSDs when I first setup desktop with the moved files, and well maybe did more than I have to to minimize the writes)
Like sygnus21 said above, don't worry about writes to SSD. It will handle it.Move the file if it is too large. 128 GB isn't that much space, and moving largest files would provide some extra space. Don't think you would notice any speed difference, if outlook file is on another drive - may a second or two on starting Outlook.
Yeah i tend to panic at times, and do more than i should, File doesn't seem that large at moment, but just setting up finally Outlook 365 finally on Laptop machine, and i know 128gb isn't much space, in future plan on getting at least 250gb m.2 nvme ssd, or if i can afford it for laptop 500gb m.2 nvme ssd
