Excel: How to make a hyperlink that excel has no way to change ?

If you try to tie a image to a cell in excel and then you link that image to its file. Excel because the image was embedded in the cell it will change the hyperlinks on you. but if you just link a image to text in a cell I do not believe excel will change the hyperlinks.
in windows 7 or windows 10 with office 365 i think this is true? I am still trying to find a way to make a picture stay in its cell and not change its size and be able to sort and have the image stay put in its cell.

I'm not sure what you mean by "changing links" but, if you say link an image in Excel to one on a local PC, and you transfer the spreadsheet to another PC, without the linked file(s), the link(s) will be lost because Excel has no idea where those files are.

If you link to any local items, and intend to share or move the docs around, it's best to place everything in a single folder (including the spreadsheet) so that transporting folder has all the linked files. Of course the easier thing to do would be to place the items online and then link to them. This way Excel will always know where to find the files. Think of this as a permanent address that never changes.

As to images being resized, I've never seen Excel resize any images placed there unless told to do so.

Let me know if I've misunderstood anything?
