@Bree, Would updating Visual C++ help? ... but I'm just not sure which version?
I tested installing Office 2000 on a VM I had to hand which had a standard install of 1903 with nothing added. Word opens and run without error, as do all bar one of the other apps. Outlook complains about an OLE registration error.

There are NO versions on Visual C++ installed on this machine. There were none before installing Office 2000 and none were added by the Office install itself. Whatever requires Visual C++ is something other than the core Office apps, possibly a 3rd-party add-in. So I can't be sure what version may be needed either, not knowing what's calling it.

This is a Microsoft link for workarounds that included run time errors:

You receive error messages when you start Word

    Thanks for the Input

    Bree:

I have corrected the Runtime Error, which was due to a corrupted registry. Thanks for your help. I appreciate your expertise.

    Glad to hear that.

For my part it was good to have an excuse to test installing Office 2000 in a W10 VM, I had not expected it to work as well as it seems to.

I have one W10 machine with Office 2003 and another with 2007 (both pre-installed by their OEMs along with their original Windows) so I already knew those worked OK.

In the forums we generally see threads that have problems after running registry cleaners.
They may work for long periods.

If possible make free backup images:
(Acronis, Aoemi, EaseUS, Macrium, Paragon, etc.)

Macrium is widely used in Ten Forums.

Sorry, can't say. My pre-installed OEM Office 2007 only has Word/Excel/Powerpoint.

FYI: It should. I've had two systems with Enterprise installed that worked fine; one of them was v1909 & one earlier.
