Outlook Email-It was there a second ago

I started watching some of my top of the list emails disappearing after I would open any one of my Outlook folders, and this included new unopened just received emails and the top ones even in my Trash folder. So I went to write it up and it all apparently started sometime around the 22nd of Oct to a lot of people. I read that it may be a sync problem with AT&T and perhaps others. I have Bell South which is AT&T. So M$ does know there is an issue.

I checked every folder in Outlook, the computer Trash, did a computer and Outlook search, cloud search, tried another computer, just...gone with the wind.

Yes, did that several minutes ago. Saw the reference on the M$ Community threads. Tks though

From what I gather it's a Yahoo-AT&T and others attached to those two such as bellsouth.net that are having the issue.

Bellsouth no longer exists. See Verizon completes acquisition of Yahoo as Marissa Mayer resigns Just happens when migrating users from server to server.

It's a known issue with Yahoo mail at the moment. @yahooCare made a post on Twitter about it about 10hrs ago ish. They have since identified the cause of 3rd party email apps eating emails, but have not given any time frame for a fix. It's not an issue on POP mail (at least not for me), just 3rd party imap clients like Outlook. They have not responded to the many questions asking if the eaten emails are recoverable.

EDIT: @yahooCare have replied to someone that the lost emails should be recoverable. Interesting that you heard it has been an issue since Oct 22nd. It only started today for me.

Yes Bell South is long gone but email addresses such as mine remain bellsouth.net.

I think I remember AT&T wanting everyone to change but not sure if this would have impacted this Yahoo-Outlook fiasco.

EDIT: YAHOO did re post all my old and missing emails into my email account.
