How can I know the path to an opened document in Office 2016?

I'm using a Word or Excel document in Windows 10 and don't remember where it's actually saved. How can I know the path?

If you remember some or all of the file name, I would use the "Everything" search tool from voidtools.com

Free and indispensable way to find any file instantly if you remember at least part of the name.

You might be able to find your file using the "recent" choice under the file menu---depending on how recently you opened it.

A click on File>Save as should default to the originating folder, and open a path selector.

Use Properties in File to see where the path is.

Thanks, you have to click on the Browse folder though and it shows where it's stored. In the past just file > Save us showed the path.
