    Combining/deleting calendars in Outlook

I'm using MS office 365 and I'm trying to get rid of some of the many calendars it creates for me. When I right-click on a calendar I have the option to delete it so I do but within a few minutes calendar returns? How can I get rid of them permanently. I want to get down to only having one calendar. Right now I have a master calendar for each of 4 email addresses plus a birthday calendar for each of the 4. I want to get down to 1 so I know where everything is.

Why not show your calendars in Overly mode?

That's just a patch to accomplish what I want to do. I don't need multiple calendars, I need one calendar has all the information in it that I need. There should be some way to do that, I'm just not sure how. I can't even delete some of the calendars or should I say right after I delete them Outlook re-creates them!

It helps to know what email you are using in Outlook. Those calendars come from that email account and it is easier to go into the web portal for the email account and remove the calendar from there. As for having four email accounts in one calendar, it is a PITA to do since you have to have one calendar shared between all accounts to begin with.

I have my Exchange calendar set up to be seen by my iCloud account and with that, if I add anything in my iCloud calendar app, it is adding it in the Exchange calendar by default. Same with contacts.

Been there done that. 1 of the accounts is a MS exchange account, to our MS Outlook accounts and one is a Gmail account. I've deleted the calendars directly from the web portals and they still reappear.

    Office 365 user as well...

Hehe, those multiple calendars are hard to get rid of and can be a nuisance if you've sync'd one calendar to another as you now get duplicate notifications. That said, the only answer I can provide, which only hides, not rids, is to Open Outlook, click the Calendar icon, and un-check the calendars you don't want showing.

That said, I find it odd you've got one for every e-mail account. I've got four emails accounts (2 IMAP, 1 Exchange, 1 Gmail) setup plus a master data file (pst file) that holds my contacts and master calendar. Yet the only account that creates a calendar for me is my school account, but it's also an exchange account. My other accounts haven't created their own calendars. One did at one time, but oddly enough it didn't during my last OS reinstall.

So at the moment I've got 4 email accounts, but only one (my MS Exchange account) created it's own calendar. Plus, I have the master Calendar (from my pst data file) and it's set as the default data file for both Calendar and Contacts. BTW the option to delete either Calendar is greyed out for me.

This day and age, you would have to create connectors or “Men in the middle” through IFTTT to send everything to a single calendar .

Not really. All you need to do set a default data file. It's what I've been doing since running Office 365. Here's an example...

The "Calendar" data file is my default Calendar and Contacts handler. This one is a pst file. And whenever I set up my email accounts I simply reinstall the pst file and set it as my default handler.

Only works if you are using just one application. I am using multiple applications to move calendar data between and luckily Apple Calendar and Contacts handles it seamlessly..

That solved the problem I've been having. It didn't get rid of the other calendars but it ensures that everything I enter goes into the calendar I want it in.
