Good point. These keys mostly turn out to be legal (retail, not MAK). MS doesn't care much about perpetual licenses of Office since they are earning more from their Office 365 subscription which isn't available for cheap (except some sale in India where O365 Home was available for $40/1 year) and through illegal means unlike the Perpetual ones.

Why not try the one that you posted for $5.99? Later just check the license type with the commands I shared.

Hey there! I found one deal here. They are gonna provide 25 letter key so seems good but I would check the license after activation to be sure it is legit.

Your link doesn't work currently but there's other places -- just do a bit of primary research.


The planet is a huge place and there's all sorts of deals available -- a Global market now -- all you have to do is understand that "There's more places to buy things than in USA or EU". While some of the cheap stuff might be "AYOR" the license keys on these are usually valid as some big 3rd world or other OEM manufacturer may have got a whole slew of these licenses legit from Ms and are just selling them on.

People like Alibaba / Amazon etc would soon remove supplier if they were selling "fake goods" and Ms started complaining.

There's still quite legal copies of Windows 10 Pro around for cheap prices too --- also be a bit adventurous -- these days it's easy to get a Windows / Office version that's in almost any language on the planet and then simply add English as your main language if that's what you want --there's always deals in 3rd world countries (and China too).

I always buy cheap office licenses on ebay. So far not a single one has been revoked by MS. The current one even survived the phone activation process after migration to a new PC.

Got this for $5 yesterday through Amazon but can't find the seller now. Here's what license check through Command Prompt shows.

Not sure though what the Beta stuff is

I've had around 5 copies (cheap) of Office 2019 -- all update perfectly with update and activate properly --- No "MAK, VL,KMS,CONVERT TO VL" activation loopholes --nothing on computer shows any of those methods there either.

Just because something is cheap doesn't mean its invalid. If a load of these keys were pirated Ms woukd soon block them - and there would be a lot of "nose" on the Interne about these products.

I would suggest in your case though with seller disappearing and references to Beta software that this to me sounds dubious in the extreme.
