    Links in Office Word

I have Word 2016 and I use it often to make notes to myself. Often in these word documents, I will put the link where I got the information.

How do I click on this link to open a browser to that link. Right nothing happens when I click on it and it does NOT give me any clue as to how to make it open that link in the browser.

    A little help please.

There are numerous results and threads discussing this issue if you would care to try using a search engine thus:
    hyperlinks in Word don't work
nothing happens when I click on a hyperlink in Word
    or similar

    See e.g.
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com...fice2016ITPro#

And perhaps you could upload a sample document...

You could, as an experiment, also try opening the document in a different Office program or word processor.
    Examples:
    Download AbleWord
    Libre Office
    Atlantis Word Processor. Downloads

I may not understand your question, but...what I do (I have a mouse and keyboard) is to put the cursor on the link, press the Control Key (Ctrl), see the cursor change to a hand with finger pointing at the link, then left click the mouse at the same time you are pressing the Crtl key. The browser opens the link.

    Ctrl-click is the thing.

Fyi links may not be live-clickable unless you press Enter after them, or alternatively format them as a link.

All I have to do now is click the link in the word document and that opens the link in the browser that is designated. No other actions on my part are necessary.
