App to sync Outlook Calendar and Contacts to Android device.

For some years now I’ve been using Companionlink to sync my Calendar and Contacts with my Android device. For the last few years I’ve been using the Outlook app on my Android device and still rely on Companionlink to sync both Calendar and Contacts.

Maybe I’m missing something, but does Microsoft have an app or service that allows this?

    Thanks.

Your not missing anything, unless you have an exchange account it requires a third party app.

What service are you keeping your calendar and contacts with? If using google/gmail or iCloud, you will always have to use something as "Man In The Middle". Look up IFTTT.

I've actually got an exchange account through my school but I keep my calendar and contacts in a different data file for privacy reasons. That said, I might have to look into the exchange option to see if that's possible.

Both are kept in a sperate Outlook pst data file. Not interested in Gmail or anything other than Outlook. Anyway Companionlink works very well, but it's a paid program. Was hoping to finally put it away and go with something Microsoft. BTW I should have mentioned I'm using Office 365.

    Thanks guys.

Everything should sync fine then. See the link. O365 uses OST now.

Yep, keenly aware of that. But even though Outlook stores its data in OST files, its also able to use and read .pst files...

Those .pst files contain some of my old work emails and my private contacts and calendar (separate from my school work).

I am currently on Outlook 2010 and use the app Akruto Sync to sync calendar and contacts with my Android phone.
It may work for you? I am happy with it.

I'm going to stick with Companionlink as I've been using it for years without issue. I was just looking something free specifically from Microsoft seeing I'm using Office 365.

    Thanks.

I agree that there are many advantages to sticking with what you have experience with.

If you had not made that comment then I would have posted about FJSoft's excellent MyPhoneExplorer but I won't now.
