Can't close Office 2007 programs

I have Office 2007 Pro running on Win 10 Insider 18963. Any of the programs, Excel, Word and Access will not close with the upper right X. I have to go into Task Manager and close it from there. This condition was in at least the last couple of Insider builds. Anybody else seen this or have a solution? Do not necessarily want to upgrade to newer or subscription versions. Thanks

Have never done a repair of Office. Have repaired Windows, not Office. Is it the same procedure? I do have the origional DVD and it is a legitament copy.

No. In Apps & features click on your Office 2007 and select Modify, Repair is one of the options.

Thanks for that info. Unfortunately it didn't fix the problem, still won't close.

As of Build 18975 the 2007 Office Pro programs are back to their usual closing procedures.
