I’m considering moving to Office365 and I’m concerned about migrating Outlook. I have several IMAP accounts and I’d rather avoid any nightmares. I also have a considerable number of email folder from my older POP3 email accounts that I don’t want to lose. Can you share your experiences please?
I use my outlook.com email account as the primary account in Office 2013. Same for my wife's machine. (Primary account = email, contacts, task, calendar. )
I had two other IMAP accounts and an old pst that contained email, nothing else. Wife had one IMAP account.
I did the very conversion you mentioned and was shocked at the ease of conversion. Basically I added the outlook.com accounts and everything else was just there.
Not saying that every conversion will happen like this but these two were flawless.
I ended up just setting back up my account when I moved to O365. I save everything to my email account, so if I lose a folder or account profile, I can always have them there. Pop is more of a PITA, because of going from a pst to a ost.
