I would just remind myself and then schedule on my calendar to send a text message, then follow up with a phone call to the party. A robot type reminder would just fall to the wayside with how much we get inundated daily with robotic messages.

Depending on the tenant, I would follow up any requests with a registered mailed copy of any legal document that they signed to agree on those duties if they have a history. This would involve creating an active element in the email [something I have never even looked into let alone tried to do] and the tenant's email client might well strip them out automatically as a security risk.

I suggest just including a request for a reply when the task has been completed or setting up a parallel recurring task for a week after the first one asking if the task has been done.
