I've installed 2 licenses of Office 2019 Pro from Amazon SARL - Luxembourg at 49 EUR (inc tax) each -- they have worked perfectly and update just OK -- no probs with the provenance of these. The Amazon ones give you a link to an .img file which mounts just like an iso file and it's sha1 check shows identical to the files on Ms's servers.

Given the numbers of these heavily discounted products around I would assume if there was a serious piracy problem both Amazon and Ms would have stepped in long before now.

I can't say for other sources as I bought mine from Amazon SARL (Luxembourg) -- however if you want to take a punt on 40 USD and it all works OK you've got a bargain. Pay with a Credit card though -- then if it all goes wrong you'll get your money back (from the Bank / Credit card company so you don't have to fight the supplier in some non EU / EEA country).

Activation is normal via Ms's servers --there's no KMS / other junk mechanisms required to activate -- those alternate methods usually indicate that the software is a Pirated version.

Further on a total clean windows install and re-installing office 2019 - activation again worked flawlessly so I have to assume these are genuine copies.

Don't ask me why or how these companies can so heavily discount this stuff - that's not my business -- so long as I'm satisfied that the versions are genuine that's enough.

Of course a company like Amazon is probably wealthy enough to GIVE AWAY this stuff !!! without even noticing it so whether it's a business model of "loss leading" or otherwise --no idea but I'm happy to have 2 licenses for 98 EUR !!!

you should get activation key and link by email -- via Amazon it was 100% fine --used them twice for Office 2019 no probs : -- and it's even cheaper now !!!!!!

-- these are fine (usually) -- please check facts before making blanket inaccurate info posts -- Ms will suspend these keys and order people like Amazon to remove these things if not legit. Of course with any e-commerce there can be scams and frauds but check the retailer -- if you've never heard of them before then beware -- but people like Amazon don't want or need scammers or Fraudsters on their site.

as I said you get an email with the key and then a link to the .img file -- I actually didn't need the img file as I already had a valid one . Key worked no probs.

Personally I'd use Amazon rather than any other retailers for these --even if Amazon obtains via 3rd party as - at least where I am they are OK to deal with if anything goes wrong -- can't say I've ever had problems with amazon -- including buying 2 servers (1 was a used one -- I needed a new mobo to replace broken CPU - my bad engineering with heat sink !!! which was cheaper than replacing with a new Mobo) and 1 laptop from them in the last 2 years.

The Mobo switched easily and the CPU was better than what I had -- was a decent XEON dual processor instead of a single Celeron and another 16GB RAM so now 32 GB RAM in the server !!)
