Outlook 2016 crashes when mail window opened or new mail etc.

I experience Outlook 2016 crash after opening mail window or clicking new e-mail button etc. It does not crash if the program is opened, but no action. I have disabled all add-ins, no help. Crashes also in safe mode. Tried repair installation, problem persists.

Any help would be appreciated. A reinstallation may help but would not like to do that at this point.

EDIT: solved to by completely re-installing everything, deleted all traces included registry.

I am surprised that you didn't receive any comment in this post. I have the same issue and no solution found on internet. I know that this is an old post but in November 2019 the issue still occurs.

Noticed your post. I don't know why no one posted anything regarding my question.

The issue was not solved by any other method than a clean installation of Office 2016 (an Office reparation was not enough). Before re-installation I had to manually delete all traces of Office. Did that with Revo uninstaller tool. Usually this kind of problems derives from Windows registry problems regarding the program itself etc. Maybe that is one reason why there were no comments.

Unfortunately, I have no other solution to offer.

Thank you for your quick reply. I sat with Microsoft Support for 1 1/2 hours yesterday over remote desktop. They failed to fix the issue that is mentioned in this post. Their only advise was to reset Windows 10. I went for a clean install from USB stick and I am glad I did this reinstall. Yes it is a full day work but Windows is now a new install without any issues.
