No, none of your personal info is embedded into a file, unless you add to properties, while creating it.
By default, the author of a document is set to the user name you entered when you installed [Microsoft Office].

Now I am provided the Office 365 Education for free under my alumni email from my university. Somebody on another forum said the admininstration of the school would be able to get access to my files stored on the one drive of my alumni account easily in the background, is it true? If that's possible, I'll give up my free office 365 option and buy with my own hotmail account.........

First, the free O365 Education Plan A1 does not include any desktop applications. You only get online versions of Word, Excel. PowerPoint and Outlook, in addition to some Microsoft services like OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Teams and so on.

O365 Education Plan A3 and Plan A5 are not free. These two plans give you full suite of Office applications which you can install up to five devices (PC or Mac). Schools subscribing to these plans offer these plans usually free for staff and students, but I would start by talking with IT departement, checking which plan (A1, A3, or A5) you would get for free.

    Compare Office 365 Education Plans

If plan A1, it would be almost impossible to remove author information from documents. Plans A3 and A5, desktop versions, however make it easy to change or remove the author information.

Your IT department, you should ask them.

O365 Education Plan A1, the online version, you can get by yourself simply by signing up at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/educ...ceurl=students

Notice that to sign up, you will be asked to provide your school email address. It will be checked, to be sure your school is eligible.

    Hi
I finally found out that my version is A1...so ... no offline application.....

I'd like to know if the offline office should have much less lagging compared to the online version?

My broadband is already fastest in Asia.

If by offline you mean run locally on your device then yes locally will be faster. Generally typing won't be faster but if you access a function, say setting margins, then the code is already present on your machine and it can be run almost instantly.
