    Uninstalling Office 2010 Completely before Upgrading

    'Morning Folks!
    ::
    My old Office 2010 Professional installed from CD on my new computer with no problem, but I found my key didn't travel from my old computer. Since my old one crashed, I didn't have the opportunity to ask MS to assist moving the SW to my new machine. I'm staying away from the "annual renewal required Office 365" so I've located and purchased a new, unopened copy of Office 2013.

    Doing a bit of reading, it appears I need to be careful how I uninstall Office 2010.
    I'm looking for assistance finding the right way to do this properly.

    Much Appreciation in advance to all who read this and those who offer advice!

    Honestly all you need to do is go to Programs and Features and remove Office from there. I've done this over the years and never had an issue. Not trying to be funny, but no need to rocket science this one out. Just a simple uninstall will work.

    BTW I've been running Office since Office 97 so a bit of experience here. Currently running Office 365.

    Thanks sygnus21,
    I had read MS has an "Office Uninstaller" requiring download and installing ... etc.
    I figured if they had created one I had better be careful.
    Now I'm asking myself why I don't just come here *first*.

    Many years ago, there were problems reinstalling Office after a computer crash.
    I've had to contact Microsoft when the new install didn't accept the product ID.
