    office 365 home

    Could anyone help me to understand complicated things please?
    I got Office 365 home Up to 6 people 12 -months subscription pc and mac.
    I opened inside was Start steps and install steps and product key card. 25 digits were uncovered so I typed this number to see what happens. I did not install anything. Could I resell it to someone else as I do not need it at all.
    COuld you help me please?
    thank you.

    @Joe123

    Once you've opened the packet and used it -- that's it. The best you can do is cancel subsubscription when next payment is due.

    Check payment arrangements -- there's a hideous sneaky system used by some banks that's still surprisingly legal in a load of countries called a "Continuous Payment Authority" which are worse than direct debits as you really do have to make an effort to get these stopped and the bank does not need to inform you if the payment amount changes.

    These are different from direct debits which are bad enough but the bank has to inform you when the amount changes and you can cancel those easily enough.

    While this is not a "Banking or Finance" Forum it's still wise to inform people of the ever increasingly sneaky tactics Banks will use to part unsuspecting people from their money.

    With the Continuous payment Authority -- YOU have to cancel it -- the Bank if not cancelled will just let your account overdraw (if balance gets below zero) which will cost you another load of charges. Same if it's on a credit card -- even worse there because if card gets below zero you will pay another set of high charges and probably get a really bad adverse report on your credit file (these credit companies - experian etc work world wide- even in China so no esacping).

    Cheers
