Why is Excel Slow with My Mouse?

My mouse's interaction with Excel is slow. For example, when I try to grab the edge of Excel to resize it, it doesnt grab it immediately. I need to grab and wait a sec before it grabs on. This doesnt happen with any other program including word and powerpoint. What do you suggest?

what mouse do you use? I had slow excel window moving, resizing etc. with razer mouse. If you have razer mouse open razer synapse and find polling rate setting its setting in Hz by default it is set to something high like 1000Hz, set it to lowest setting that you can like 100Hz (depends on mouse model) and try then it may get fixed. If you have different brand mouse with high polling rate it may cause problems too try to find polling rate setting for your mouse and set it to lowest available.

If there is no such setting in mouse driver then I'm not sure, there probably is 3rd party software that can do that but it may be risky. Microsoft should know what they are doing and make compatible mouse with their software but that's not always the case.
First you need to find out if it's really mouse that is causing it. Do you have cheap simple USB mouse to test? Disconnect your mouse connect USB one and restart pc for good measure see if that fixes your problem if no then there may be other reasons.

It's know problem with MS office apps especially excel, that high polling rate mouse causes most excel window operations resizing, moving etc to lag.
    What is polling rate?
A mouse’s polling rate is how often it reports its position to a computer. Polling rate is measured in Hz. If a mouse has a 125 Hz polling rate, it reports its position to the computer 125 times every second—or every 8 milliseconds. A 500 Hz rate means that the mouse is reporting its position to the computer every 2 milliseconds.
