    Lost my product ID

I have a legal copy of MSOffice 2070 and 2016. But because I was off sick for several weeks, I lost the product ID for both products. Since I have had them installed on my PC Wouldn't at least on of those IDs are some place on my hard drive or even in the registry ?
If so, is there some sort of an app that would find it for me? Thanks,,Frank

belarc can retrieve your "product key" for Office 2007. I have no idea about Office 2016 - have a look around the Belarc website to see if they claim to be able to do so.

    Notes
1 If you subscribe to Office 365 rather than having made an outright purchase of Office 2016, I think what you need is just your Outlook.com account login rather than any Product key.
2 Don't say "product ID". This term exists and means something completely different.

Ummmm..... just curious.... how does being off sick for several weeks cause one to lose their MS Office product keys?

Keyfinders like ProductKey will find a 2007/2010 key but not a 2013/2016 purchased version key as they are now encrypted.

I have never heard of a solution for 2013 versions onwards.

Maybe he bought a licence through HUP or similar and has a volume licence key (just speculating - no knowledge if this even possible).

    This confirms what I said

"Unfortunately for us, only the last 5 characters of the 25-character Office 2016 or 2013 product key is stored on your computer, making a product key finder pretty much useless in this case."

Hello—NavyLCDR: It may be hard to
believe, but I did truly have copies of the two Office apps that I
fully paid for. To understand how I could have lost the product keys,
you first have to understand the reasons I was in and out of the
hospital for about 4 to 6 weeks. My condition was such that my family
and I did not know if I would survive. While in such a state for 3
weeks it's easy to forget things as to what you did with them or
where you put them. So, I have no idea what I did with them. Also I
am now a permanent resident in a nursing home. In a place like this
it's difficult to put everything in it's proper places. I hope this
satisfies your curiosity. I really did not mean for this to sound
like a cockie answer, but you came across as you couldn't believe me
when I said I lost them. If I took you wrong, I apologize and wish you a best day. Frank
