    MS will not let me change password in IMAP settings for one e-mail acc

    MS Outlook 365 will not let me change a password in the settings for one of my IMAP e-mail accounts. Settings page in Win 10 64 Pro will not let me change password either. I know new password is correct as my main email client is Evolution running under Ubuntu 18.10 (I have several Win10/Office 365 systems setup because some Win 10 software is better than Linux equivalents and I always have two machines running e-mail). I am owner and only user of affected PCs. How do I get MS to let me change a password in an Outlook 365 IMAP account?

    Thank you,

    John

    Hi there

    @smoketoxdoc

    the new screens are so dumbed down that it's almost impossible to do anything with them - but you can get back to the "Classical" config screens by going to the outlook app in the control panel -- it's probably called OUTLOOK 2016 for 2019 / 365 versions of outlook. Note control panel still exists - just type control panel at the windows symbol (bottom left hand side of your screen).

    select the top entry in the popup -- mine is in icelandic but it's in the same position for English version.

    Next screen will list email accounts with the old menus and options -- choose change and then you can change passwords etc etc.
