Microsoft Office HUP 2019 update problem.

I have office 2019 home and business.
Whenever update is there, It is not shown in windows update, though in advance options of windows update, I have enables all Microsoft products.
Further it never updates. It hangs in downloading updates.
I have reported this in other thread. Since it is marked as solved, I started this thread.
Second time now on 4/2/2019 also this happened. Both times I had to update by doing repair online.
I am having latest windows 10 home 1809 with latest cumulative updates. My office is as follows.

Any one else facing this problem?

Do you have any issues with downloading updates for Windows or is it just Office 2019? I ask this as there are well documented Windows Update problems during the last 2 weeks or so. I have Office 2019 ProPlus and although this updates fine, I have had to manually enter Google DNS settings to enable Windows to update. I did not check at the time as to if this affected MS Office as well.

For me Windows update is going without any problem. But as I already said, though in advanced options I have selected update for Microsoft Products, Office 2019 updates are not shown. I see problems in only office update.

Office 2019 is not updated via Windows Update.

Your screenshot shows that updates are automatic.

Click Update Options, Update Now (at File, Account).

Office 2019 – Updates Available status bar notice – what to do.

lvgandhi, My experience is that MS Office rarely updates automatically, even if set to do so. Office 2016 or 2019 are manually updated by going to (for example) Word> Open Other Documents> Account> Office Updates> Update Now.

Have you checked using this method?

I go to my account and below product information, I click update options and select update now. First it checks for update and notifies update is available and needs to download. I select ok. Then it goes on showing only downloading, but no download. From task manager I see nothing is downloaded. This has happened for both updates.

What did you check for in task manager or elsewhere to say, "no download"?

While the update is running there should be a Microsoft Office Click-to-Run process (OfficeClickToRun.exe).

Version 1901 (Build 11231.20174) should be available today: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdates/update-history-office-2019#retail-versions-of-office-2019

In this link I did not see any download point.
Again same problem. It asks whether download can be done in the present net. When I click ok, nothing happens.
Then I did online repair to update

As you probably know by now, your Office 2019 uses the Office 365 Click-To-Run update method (but for security and bug-fix updates only; no feature updates): There are no direct download links.

There is a known "feature" by which it cannot use a metered connection, which I now realize you must be trying to use: Office 365 updates don't download for metered connections

If you can't switch off metered connection, try using Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi. Otherwise, all you can do is the online repair method you've been using.

Perhaps Microsoft will fix it one day, but it's been more than three years already: Office Update and Metered Connection Conflict

    Thanks for the info.
I will try next time by switching of metered connection for office update.
