    Outlook 2013 freezing

Hi I run two computers one a pc and one a laptop both running windows 10 with the latest updates so both on the same version. I also use office 2013 (32 bit)on both computes

My problem is if I launch outlook 2013 (Part of the office 2013) on the pc it runs just fine but on the laptop when I start outlook 9 times out of 10 it freezes after just after it starts.

When I took in task manager it says outlook is suspended

As far as I know they both run the same add-ons I have searched the web with no real solution.

    Help please

    WAG

Is any other office product installed, Office 365 or such. Some starter trial?

When I had Office 2010 and 2013, 2013 would freeze all the time anywhere. Removed 201 and removed my freezing.

Hi sam02. In Windows Settings go to Apps & Features and click on Microsoft Office. Then select Modify and allow the installer to make changes and select either Quick Repair or Online Repair. I'd try the Quick Repair first and if that doen't solve the problem then do the Online Repair which takes longer. Be aware that you have to sign in to your account to reactivate with the Online Repair. This has solved many of my Office issues over the years.

I have had Office freeze and crash due to a bad dot file and of course AV program. I would do the repair.

I have Office 2013 also and I do not have OWOW64LR.cab on my PC either. Does you desktop PC have this file? If it does then you could try copying it from the desktop to the appropriate folder on the laptop and try the repair.

Otherwise you might need to uninstall Outlook from laptop and then reinstalling it. If you reinstall Outlook you'll need to save you emails and account setups so that you migrate them back after the reinstall. There's lot of info on the web for how to do this.

Another WAG . . . With Office 2010 and prior, you could have a copy on your desktop and a copy on your laptop; however, with Office 2013, Microsoft took away the second installation; you can only have it on one computer.

IOW, you need a license key for each one. As I said, just a WAGuess.

I've gotten to the point that I don't even want to use Outlook because it keeps causing problems while the other apps do what they're supposed to do.
