Ms Office home and student 2019 pc crash

In this event how do I install my office in my new pc? I read about it at the MS site but I coud not understand the second step which is too deactivate.

The license is fine.

what I would do is don't bother to uninstall on old machine.

just install on new machine with license key.
if it activates -- fine
if it doesn't just ring Ms and say you want to move office to new computer - activation by phone is usually quick and painless. Often on retail these things will work on up to 3 machines before activation problems -- not always but you never know how Ms activation servers work these days !!!! however no problem with moving to a new machine - that's 100% legal if retail / VL (enterprise) version.

I was going to go from pc to mac and changed my mind. It made me think what to do if this old rig broke.
I see where I can do either of the options suggested and appreciate the info.
If necessary I will search for MS #. If that's the way you don't have to reply but if it is hard to get the number and you know it, I would appreciate it.
