I also got MS Office HUP 2019 iso and installed. It is activated. I would like to know the differences between excel in office 2017 and 2019 excel.
Any help or link will be appreciated.
    Hi there
I'm not sure if there is an EXCEL 2017 (there is EXCEL 2016).

EXCEL 2019 very little difference to EXCEL 2016 in Office 2016 and in fact a fairly insignificant difference to EXCEL 2010 in Office 2010 !!!. Most of it is about Working in teams / collaboration stuff which I don't need anyway but each person's need is different.

My main objection to these later versions of Office is that it's almost impossible in OUTLOOK to install manually email addresses where you have your own domain servers with different passwords etc. The newer versions of Office (The click2run versions rather than the older stand alone iso's) automate the process and if your account isn't a standard one that's in the database then you've had it. You can sometimes get lucky by a get around - there's still an OUTLOOK (or OUTLOOK 2016 - eve for OUTLOOK 2019) applet in the control panel which gives the old manual set up screens.

If you don't have or use OUTLOOK in MS office then this won't be an issue of course.

    Cheers

Sorry for my mistake. In stead of 2007, I wrote 2017. Is there any differences between excel 2007 and excel 2019 HUP.

    Hello, 10F Members:

I also want to only install selected apps with the MS Office 2019 Pro Plus package.

BTW - I'm not enrolled in any school institution... so I paid $132.00 via Dealarious newsletter@dealarious.com vs. $440 retail price.

I found the following instructions to accomplish the above:
Download and Install Office 2019 Pro-Plus (Retail/Volume) on Windows 10 (Custom Installation) |
    trvision.net/detail/download-and-install-office-2019-pro-plus-retail-volume-on-windows-10-custom-installation-K0kjkB5f-mU.html
    - Download and customize Office 2019 before installing.
    - You can choose version (32/64 bits), language, which apps or programs you want to install.

    "Official Microsoft Office Remover"
This can help you completely remove previous versions of Office and avoid any possible installation issue.

You MUST UNINSTALL Previous Versions of Office !!

Install Ms Office Setup with Product Key

Microsoft Office is an applications suite, which accommodates some application package into a suite, called MS Office. Each Office application has a unique purpose to get a specific service to office users.

    Hi there @ab1kenobee

The click2run idea was essentially to stop large scale pirating (Office 2010/2016 was the most pirated software ever) by aiming to eliminate all VL (volume licenses) and KMS activations and any "in house" local installations -- i.e no physical medium --and insist that all activations / installations were done via the Net.

Some companies were not yet ready for bulk installations of this type so for the moment .iso and .img copies are still available as is the purchaseable version of Office 2019 even though Ms is pushing hard for people to switch to the "subscription only" model.

The intention is to make Office 2019 the last ever "Buy" version and eventually it will stop getting any updates other than security -- however currently it's 100% in sync with the Office/365 suite at same build and version.

I suspect that since Office 2010 is still alive for another year or so - possibly 2 and 2016 even longer the practice may be quietly forgotten about -- there's so many apparently legitimate hugely discounted versions of Office pro 2019 around it probably doesn't make too much sense any more to continue with this policy.

Why should I take out a subscription to Office/365 when I can get a PRO 2019 license from Amazon for EUR 49.50 a pop.

I bought 2 of these -- they work absolutely fine - there's no illegitimate "activation mechanisms" in them amd they activate just fine -- even on a Brand new Windows install on the skip ahead buld (20H1).

OK use these cheap licenses AYOR but if there were any big problems with these I'm sure both Amazon and Ms would have done things by now - so far just deathly silence so one has to assume the provenance of these office pro packs is perfectly genuine.

BTW with these purchases you get a link to normally an .img file which mounts just like an iso --you don't need to convert to iso and just run the install -- the images are 100% the same as the Ms ones from their servers so there's nothing nasty embedded in these.

You can choose also which products of the suite to install as well (but you could always do that on previous releases of Office).

In general most people usually want just Word, EXCEL, Powerpoint and Outlook - however with the cheap discounting rather than just install individual products via the net just get the .iso / .img and install with the setup file. If the setup file installs everything you can post install remove components you don't want -- cheaper doing it this way than directly from Ms.

Ms is making far too much money with AI, VR, Cloud computing, XBOX, Cloud computing and supplying contract services these days so I suspect it's not overtly concerned about potential loss of revenue here -- added to which the Free W7/W8/W8.1 upgrade path is still working perfectly even after it should have closed around 2 years ago !!!.

It's like "Who ever pays the full price for a Sofa these days".

    Cheers
