Setting up I-Cloud for Windows, getting default error profile message

Hi, Just bought a new PC and have installed Office 2019. Trying to setup I cloud for Windows and everything is successful until I try to sync "Mail, Contacts and Calendars, I get this message, " Setup cant continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile". I have set this up before only difference is I set my new PC up as an IMap account.

Have you checked the Apple Support forums, to see if anyone else is having the same issue? Uninstall iCloud for Windows, remove the default profile in Control Panel > Mail, then reboot. reinstall iCloud and let it setup Outlook for your icloud.com account.

Hi bro67 thanks for your reply, I followed your guidelines but unfortunately i have the same result. When I launched Outlook, I had to create a new profile. This was completed but when I try to sync my mail , contacts in I Cloud for windows I get the same message.

In answer to your first question, I hadn't tried Apple support groups.
