Printing issues with Microsoft Office 2013

    Hi,

A new issue came up today that has me stumped. I cannot print from any Microsoft Office 2013 apps on my HP DJ 3636 . It doesn't even show that a file is pending to print when I click on the printer icon (it says "0 documents pending). I can print PDF files, text files etc... but nothing via Microsoft Office 2013. I have reinstalled Microsoft Office 2013 and still have problem. I am using Windows 10 64 bit version 1709. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!

How are you selecting print? There's usually 2 ways, an icon on the Toolbar sends the job directly to the default/system printer as set in Devices and Printers but the File, Print function or Ctrl + P gives choices such as number of pages, fit page, select a different printer [if 2 or more installed], etc. There's usually several choices in Device and Printers but the default has to be set as you desire [right-click the desired icon]. A change from earlier version of Windows gives more choices on the context menu, one being the bottom Properties is only for the icon while the actual Printer Properties is about in the middle of the menu. When having issues and to shorten the diagnostic process [ignoring the minor cost] I always print a Test page, see if the printer actual works and if so then it's time to delve into the software side of the programs'.

You can uninstall the software for the printer, device and driver and reinstall again. Happens usually when the OS is stepped up to a new set of patches.
