Outlook.com does not delete Spectrum/RR emails

FYI, the free version of Outlook.com does not delete the email off of Spectrum's(RR) server when using a rr.com email account. The good news is you can store about 50,000 emails on Spectrum's server.

If your acount is POP then you have to set in RR that other apps can delete. Not sure where it is as I don't have rr but in several POP installations that I've see you have to set.

Small snap shot from Outlook.com which shows option if you were accessing it from say gmail.

Further investigation reveals Outlook.com does not delete from gmail's server either, I am guessing it is a limitation in the free version to get you to sign up to premium.

Just so we are on same page. The setting changes, if a pop account, must be made on the TWC side, not on the outlook.com side. You add the account if Outlook.com, you allow it to delete email if pop on the TWC side.

Can I ask why you using POP. Helmut instructions indicate IMAP is available.

As well where did you get NTLM and TLS setting from?

Please try IMAP. In gmail go to settings, forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, and enable IMAP. In GMAIL account security you may have to allow less secure apps to sign in.

Gmail was already set to IMAP and I did not see any security setting.
Spectrum's RR mail has no settings at all regarding POP or IMAP it only tells you how to access it from another client.
