    Error 1935 Any Fix Soon

Windows 10 has been out for a while and I assume I am not the only one having a problem when installing Microsoft Office because of Error 1935.

Does Microsoft have any plans to fix this problem? It seems really stupid when their own software can not be used because of a stupid error in their own operating system.

I have done a lot of research and Microsoft says it is best not to fix the error manually. That leaves two options as I see it. Two programs have been recommended as fixes.
Error Repair Application and Windows Repair tool.

Can anyone (who has used one of these) recommend either of them?

    Thanks for any info.

They basically did a new install. My install is new.

NO I have not been through all those steps. It would take forever.
I just cannot believe Microsoft would allow the OS to reject Microsoft's other software. That dumber than hell in my opinon.

    Hi there
    Which version

Between office 2013 and the latest versions Ms is switching away from the older iso's / "in house" copies to a "click 2 run" model.

Some of the older iso's have been deprecated -- Office 2010 still works but for office 2016/2019 you will need to re-install from the Ms online system and activate afterwards.

    I don't know about office/365 though.

    Cheers

pepanee ... I looked at that list. One suggestion was to update Microsoft.net framework 4 Client.

If I am looking at this crap correctly, that is not even installed or does not show in the Programs list.

It can be downloaded and installed. What the heck?

OHhhhh one other suggestion was to go into the Registry and delete two places in the Registry. Make me shiver just thinking about making any changes in the Registry. I have never had anything good happen when I have done that in the past.

I'm glad that I still use Office 2007. The newer versions suffer from many shortcomings, aside from the problem under discussion here.

When using Windows 7, Office 2003 works great. With Windows 10 it is being a PITA.
