I have the same versions of Office 2010 and Windows 10 and Thesaurus works fine for me. I did have a problem recently where Office 2010 would not update. I found this was due to PatchCleaner trashing the update files so I no longer use PatchCleaner. I had to completely remove and reinstall Office 2010 since the repair option didn't fix it.

I totally uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2010 and still have the same problem - not updated yet either so maybe it is some other addon? Never used PatchCleaner!! will get all the updates and then try again. Otherwise will keep looking for solutions.

Thank you Calendon Ken for sticking with the problem because I finally tried the inplace repair of the OS from your link and IT WORKED! Hoping there are no other issues after the repair ( looks like my MS Outlook email is struggling but will persevere for now) But the Thesaurus in working again. Yahoo!!

    Great.

The inplace repair should not cause issues.

Not sure what Outlook issue is so no comment.

1809 is out for earlier adopters, next weed as part Windows update.

You can protect yourself and your time by using a tool like Macrium Reflect.

Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect

    Glad the forum could help.

For others information the problem I had was emails got stuck in the outbox after the Win 10 repair and there was a message Outlook 2010 "upgrade in progress" - and " upgrade outlook connector". I checked online and an Office upgrade was suggested so did that and all well now. Thanks again. Have noted Macrium Reflect and will check it out.
