    Hi there Kari

    Thanks for clearing that up.
I had a couple of retail shrink wrapped Office 2010's (legally purchased) that have never been activated so I don't feel guilty about doing someone a favour. !!

Thanks for the tip on re-setting a PC to remove user accounts etc and still leave legally licensed software on it.

I agree not 100% but 1000% that piracy needs to be stamped out wherever it occurs be it in Netflix subscriptions, downloaded movies, e-books or software etc.

I hope some of these scammers find out what it's like when your intellectual property you spent a lot of time working and developing is stolen and somebody else is making money out of it (torrent sites do actually make money -- that's how they survive but of course typical users of those places haven't a clue about that).

    Cheers

Jimbo, let me clarify this: my previous post was based on logics, experience and personal opinion. I have no factual proof to present that supports what I said, but I believe what I said is how it works.

On another note, I am and have been quite proud of the fact that at any given time, I can let anyone to check all my devices and see that I have not a single piece of unlicensed / unauthorized / cracked & pirated software on them. Everything is licensed and valid.

My antipathy to piracy is borderline hatred. Yes, I overreact often when talking or posting about it, knowingly "making waves" and fully accepting negative feedback caused by my strict policy and opinions, but I feel that fighting piracy with any means should be a cause for us all.
