Office 2016 install on machine with several windows users

Regarding license, Office 2016 acts and is exactly as any other software installed on your computer. Only one license is required for a single computer, regardless how many user accounts / profiles that computer has. You install it when signed in to your main local admin account, activate it and that's it; every user on that computer can then use it.

Please notice that if you do not have a Microsoft account, before buying / installing / activating Office 2016 Retail as One-Time Purchase product, you should create one.

The retail One-Time Purchase license for Office 2016 can only be installed on one computer. License is transferable to another computer simply by signing in to https://office.com/myaccount with your Microsoft account, removing (deactivating) Office from your account and restarting computer.

When done, the license is free and can be used on another computer. Notice that you should also do this if you want to reinstall Windows; deactivate Office license, restart, only then start Windows installation.

I strongly recommend you to reconsider an Office 365 subscription. It beats the One-Time Purchase version in so many ways, including the price. Looking the prices in Switzerland, Office 2016 Home & Student which only includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, it costs CHF159.95. With that price, you would get Office 365 Personal subscription (CHF69.95) for over two years and three months.

Office 365 Personal includes, in addition to applications in Home & Student, Access, Publisher, Outlook, one terabyte OneDrive storage and monthly 60 minutes free phone calls (from Skype) to landline numbers around the world (mobile numbers in selected countries). It also gives you free phone and chat support (in Home & Student free support is limited to 60 days after activation).

Even better is the Office 365 Home subscription. It would cost you CHF109.95 per year, but it would multiply all benefits of O365 Personal by 5: five different users can activate it on 5 PCs or Macs + 5 tablets + 5 mobile phones. Each of 5 users would get 1TB OneDrive and all other perks.

Let's say you could find other 4 family members or friends interested in Office, each of you would pay CHF21.99 a year. That's bargain. And let's not forget that subscribes do not have to think about upgrades; when Office 2019 will be released next year, subscribers would get the upgrade for free. As an O365 subscriber, you always have the latest Office version.

Scrolling down to compare editions, this will then be clarified by telling that O365 Personal is for 1 PC/Mac, 1 tablet and 1 phone, and O365 Home is for 5 PCs/Macs, 5 tablets and 5 phones.

Short: No worries, each user of your computer is entitled to use Office 2016 products on your computer as long as it has been activated once.

Unfortunately, local Swiss Office site is only available in above mentioned two of your four official languages. It is not available in Romansh at all, and Italian speaking Swiss must use Italian site where prices are told in EUR instead of CHF: Confronta i prodotti Microsoft Office | Microsoft Office

My screenshot is, as is the link from English (International) page, whereas yours is to English (US). I have no explanation for different prices, but as we are talking about Microsoft, I am not surprised.

As with all Microsoft sites, you can always get any local version of that page if it exists simply by changing that en-us in URL as shown in your link to your preferred one. I would get the same page localized in Finnish changing en-us to fi-fi, OP of this thread would get the page in Swiss German by changing it to de-ch or in Swiss French with fr-ch, and so on.

The format Microsoft uses is LL-RR where LL is language and RR is region. Using EN only, the language indicator without region indicator, you will get so called International English page (when it exists).
