How is yours set?
The most recent I have was done yesterday after the Reflect Update failure and then Reinstall and the successful patch. Others back to the last Windows Update. Anyway, tried that early on and the workbooks all exhibit the same properties. Still not sure what I've done with the restore. No different from the current ones, or the week ago backups on my external HDD.
What happens if you change the default printer to the MS print to pdf printer. Do the symptoms persist for both old & new workbooks with that set?
Best of luck,
Denis
Tried that one too. Symptoms persist, no change with new or existing. What's become strange is it will save that setting on occasion for a time or two. Then open the workbook again and it's back to the opposite of what it's been for so long. That setting is the ONLY thing not being saved.
Sorry I couldn't help. I did wonder about user profile corruption but your fault symptom seems to be too specific for that to be the cause.

You can still use MS Office. Libre runs well alongside MS Office it will even open office documents, edit, and save..Take Libre Open Source for a test drive, you have nothing to lose and it's free.
"One of the key requirements for any software suite that aims to challenge Microsoft Office's dominance is that it allows users to open, edit and save documents in Office formats so that they can work alongside the majority of the rest of the world that still uses Office. (Office supports the international standard Open Document Format (ODF) as well as its own Office formats, but Meeks says its support for ODF is "woeful," and some Office features are not compatible with the open formats.)"
