Event 0, Office 2016 Licensing Service Error

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this error?

The description for Event ID 0 from source Office 2016 Licensing Service cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

Subscription licensing service failed: -1073422333

-------
I have Office 365 Home subscription and the same error is on other computers as well. I have automatic Windows as well as Office updates turned on.
It's clean installation of the Office from Office. If it's happening on the 1 PC it does make sense to do a repair, but the same on all devices ? There is something wrong from the beginning. All devices are using Windows 10 Pro/Home 1803 64bit.
Office 365 is 32bit.

Eddward, I think you should contact Microsoft Support on this issue. You're entitled since you have a subscription.

If you can open an app, click on Help, then on Contact Support. Otherwise, a phone call may be in order.

Hi eddward

This problem was reported within this thread by two users.

Office 2016 & Office 365 Monthly Channel v1803 build 9126.2116 Mar. 27

They reported is still works fine but annoying.

Another forum had this fix which essentially is the same recommendation that the error gave you, run repair.

My Office is working perfectly fine, or at least I didn't find any issues. This is just error from Event Viewer which I would like to solve. I will try this online repair method.

Let us know if the Repair works, Eddward.

Sometimes, once a newer version is released, things straighten up by themselves . . . and sometimes not.

I can confirm that the fix in the post by Ken, repairing Office, does work. I, too, have had that Event Viewer error on every restart, and this eliminated it. Also, in my case, the missing default templates in Word are back. All is fine. Took about 10 minutes, and I restarted to verify.

Thanks, TC. Good to know, since I've had my own problems with Office 365; thankfully not this one, though.

My errors were not usually after restart, but rather random once per day.
Neverthless I did repair yesterday evening, restarted laptop and no errors. However I left laptop turned on overnight and now I see the same error from 06:21am.
So complete repair did not help. Not unexpected since the installation was literally only a few days old, so can't imagine how could be broken so quickly and in the same way on other device.

I, too, thought it was fixed. I booted up my machine this morning, and the error was back. Also lost the default templates again in Word. Right back where I was.

Did a Quick Repair this time, and it fixed. Not holding my breath. Apparently the posted solutions do work, but the Band-Aids keep falling off. Premature with being so happy with the fix links.
