    Word 2016 Pasting problem

I am running Office 365 Version 1708 Build 8431.2242 and am having a problem pasting pictures into a Word document, the text pastes OK. The source of the pictures/text is a web page (Mozilla Firefox).
The strange thing is if I paste the text and pictures into a new Outlook message, this works. If I then try pasting
the text/pictures into a Word document it works!
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Bowlsys.

I would open Word, File, Options, Advanced, Cut, copy and paste section, Pasting from Other Programs.

I'll bet when you post into Outlook some formatting changes which allows it to be pasted in Office. Might try changing option to Merge Formatting.

    Hmmm.

Okay if you copy some text, then go to word. Click on Paste arrow (Just below word Paste), one option should be Paste Special. Mine comes up HTML format.

    What does your say?

Have you tried with AV disabled?

What settings do you have under Options /Advance / Copy and paste section? Here are mine, check yours, if there is something strange..

Check out this thread at superuser… Could be about security level in internet options. Strange, but who knows…

Once I solved it by reseting security settings in Internet Options dialog (Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Security -> Custom Level -> Reset). In Medium Low level I could paste pictures but in Medium High level I could not paste pictures. So, I decided to reset Medium High. I copied this from another forum, sorry to the poster but I can't remember your name, This worked for me!!! I reset mine to medium and it worked I can now copy and paste Yippee!
Edit: and here is another interesting site about graphics from web: wordfaqs.ssbarn | InvisibleGraphics

The issue here is that most pictures displayed on Web pages are just links to the locations of the pictures online, and what you are pasting is that link. There are several ways to work around this:
Paste the picture and immediately press Ctrl+Shift+F9 to unlink it. The picture will then be embedded in your document.
