Can't stop Outlook 2007 from auto starting at boot time

    It should work for you eventually - but it is confusing one setting does (or will do) 2 different things.

    Thanks for that information. Looks like another cludge from MS. I guess it's a well played song but the forced updates from MS are a real pain for some folks - me included. Features I don't need or want and existing functionality changes.

    I have Autoruns and a number of other tools like this but none of which have been any use overcoming this issue.

    I solved the problem very easy. Shut down the computer properly.
    Shut down all programs and then shut down the computer. Done.

    After installing the latest updates on Mar 19th the problem has gone away.

Windows 10 starts apps automatically in the background, so when you start the apps, they will launch faster. But I don't need that. The background apps settings in the Settings app don't change anything. Is there another workaround for that?...
