Hi mate, I would try but unfortunately I sent it back to PC Specialist. I think there were problems with the SSHD drive. As some strange goings on. So I got a full refund. It's a shame but I had a few other niggling issues with it.
Hi, thanks. Hmm, what's wrong with mine I wonder?
Now- I've just had a remote session with Pc Specialist on a different minor topic- and they failed, despite being confident.
Can you wake your laptop from sleep with your keyboard or touchpad?
If I look at my touchpad (Control Panel, Mouse) there's no power management tab (well it's PS/2- not USB, like the keyboard) but there is a power management tab for my USB mouse.
So I can configure the latter to wake my PC, but not my keyboard or touchpad, which is what I'm used to. PS Specialist think that should work..
Could you try it please? Thanks!
Apologies, am with you know. Yes the video does play in the small viewer window that it opens up. no sound but it plays normally, some kind of demo
Hi, thanks, I'll expand the last sentence. Open Control Panel, click Mouse. You should see a tab called 'Device Settings' with a Synaptics icon. Click that. Click the Settings button. Click E.g. Rotating in the Synaptics window. Click 'Show Video'.
Does a video correctly display in the small viewer window?
Hi, just wondered if you could try sthg (very simple); I noted that the Synaptics driver on my PC Specialist laptop has 'Show Video' buttons, but that the little video player just blinks and says 'Opening Media' if I click one. I tried posting in the PC Specialist forum and here- no replies. PC Specialist said uninstall, reinstall- which I'd already tried. The videos themselves are mpg's and wmv's and play in a 3rd party player - the mpg's play very fast in WMP.
Could you tell me what you see? (Control panel, Mouse, Device Settings, Settings...)
Thanks! David (dalchina)
