These were the things I dine to achieve the 7k+. wishing you luck and hope to see you break the 7K (but don't break my score )
easier to show:
Apart from the max overclocking of the hardware I also turned off all eye candy on Windows and stopped all unnecessary background programs after letting Windows sit idle for 30 mins to allow updates and checks to finish. Tweaked max performance profile. Nvidia control panel global settings were changed to maximise performance. I found that my 6700 while oc to 4.8 had better score with the cache speed at 4.5 or 4.6 but took slight more voltage to run stable.
How you getting on with the 7k? Not seen any updates from you over the last few days.
Thanks for the rep Doug. I sincerely appreciate it.
Thanks for the Rep Dude.....means something coming from you......
thank Dude. you rock.
love the Overclocking forum too. I got excellent help there right away.
thank you for all the help Dude. the XMP is working just fine.
Yes it loads and executes very fast temps are lower than i thought they were going to be
I am going to try my encoding software and see how fast i can encode a Bluray
The New build is good i have to work out a few kinks only difference is with the higher end chips they just don't overclock that high but the return is pretty good
I was crunching numbers like a champ now with six cores ripping encoding is much faster
I think i am stuck at 4.4 Ghz though not worth posting on the Leaderboards
