If Mr. Hudson loads 32 bit Windows most of the drivers if not all will be loaded by Windows. Has nothing to lose trying and then seeing what device manager reports back.
I was concerned it would not activate as the original windows was 64 bit.
If he has 32 bit and an hour, let it rip.
I have both version on USB, Windows will load drivers to get it up running to get all the updates.
Yes. Once up and you've been online for a little while check device manager for any yellow exclamation marks.
Right click start, left click device manager.
This article is dated 2017 and has pro and con for 64 bit vs 32 bit:
Whats the Difference Between 32-bit and 64-bit Windows?
There are many advantages to staying with 64 bit (efficiency, RAM, virtual memory, security, etc.)
Activation is not affected by 32-bit or 64-bit architecture differences in Windows - the digital license obtained on a 64-bit machine is applicable to either.
Didn't work, no drivers for the Intel, CPU, Graphic, Thermal Dynamics and Frameworks.
Having issue with both these HP's, connects. did connects, and switch from IPv4 to IPv6.
