    Upgrade fails @ 33% - "Something Happended"

Trying to upgrade from Win 7 Ultimate.

For some reason windows update just says "reserved" so I forced the upgrade with the tool: -

    Windows 10

Tried the standard upgrade = failed - something happened @ 33%
Tried running the ISO = failed something happened @ 33%
Tried running from USB = failed something happened @ 33%

Any ideas what is going wrong?

    Cheers

I am getting exactly the same problem at exactly the same point. Trying to upgrade from Win 8.1.

I've ran the upgrade, although doesn't download in full, so then used the ISO on both DVD and memory stick and it fails at the same point every time.

I've tried everything in the book and followed umpteen ways that supposedly allow you to install, but to no avail.

Did you manage to get it sorted?

Only way I've got it to work is by completely reinstalling Win 7 again.

Did you have to install all the updates again when you reinstalled before you could install Win10?

Not all, just up as far as SP1

Doing a clean install now that upgrade was successful...

Cheers, but I just refreshed the PC and then it installed fine. At least it's sorted. Thanks for your help.
