I had reserved a copy of windows 10 and i was able to download it through windows update. once it is downloaded i was asked to restart for updating. copying files stuck at 0% for 5 min and windows 7 ultimate x64 rolls back.

I can even see an error message in windows update page shows Windows 10 Pro installation failed error 80070006

    Hey,
I am facing the same issue.. after starting the update, the system restarts and the window 10 installation screen pops up. the progress moves at an agonizingly slow pace with the occasional increase in the copy percentage. after 10-15 mins, the system restarted will the update failing .. error 80070006 was shown in the update log. Any help would be appreciated.

    cheers!!

    Hi Lash,

Did you try the below diagnostic tool from microsoft.
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2714434
I tried it and it fixed some issues. Now downloading the Win10 again to check if problem is fixed.
    Will update you.
