How to remove Windows 10 from new computer and install Windows 7

I'm one of those who has hated Windows 10 from the word 'go', but when I bought a new computer with Windows 10 pre-installed I thought I could simply take it out and instal Windows 7. Not so! I hadn't realised that because Microsoft wants to force us all to use Windows 10 they no longer include the necessary drivers for Windows 7 in the new machines.

The standard Windows 7 installation discs don't contain these drivers as they have always been found in the computer, so the installation doesn't work. It isn't possible to find drivers online, no doubt because Microsoft has made this impossible. I did discover how to remove Windows 10 stuff that I didn't want, like Edge and all gaming programmes and associated files but still yearned for the fine control that I used to have over my own computer with Windows 7.

I have just today discovered that the company I use for computer help and repair - which isn't often as I can do most things myself - can supply these drivers and is happy to visit me and install them and Windows 7 on my computer, so that I can get rid of the hated Windows 10.

So the answer is to contact the professionals, who are able to do things that we lesser mortals can't. I'm having this done at the end of this month when I can afford to have the computer down for a couple of days whilst I instal all the updates and put my programmes back in. If anyone in the same position doesn't know how to get help, I'll happily put you in contact with my boys. The company has branches all over the country, so can probably help anyone in the UK.

    Hope this is useful!

This is quite common and it's not just with Microsoft. They will eventually cut support for Windows 7 just like they did with Windows XP. Apple does the same with, eventually, phasing out their Mac computers and not allowing the latest version of Mac OS to be installed onto the older systems.

I feel like if you do not want to use some of the Windows 10 tools, just simply don't use them. I wouldn't go uninstalling them. There are tools like ShellStart that will help make Windows 10 look like Windows 7 if you so desire.

This seems a little off to me. Intel is the maker for their Windows drivers, not Microsoft. So, if Intel didn't make a driver, why would some shop go through the massive development work for it?

    Hi,
On a skylake x series asus board in the bios it has usb mouse and keyboard simulator setting that can be enabled for an install
In addition asus also made a utility to create an all win-7 iso from a normal win-7 dvd where one can also either create the usb flash installation media or save the 7 iso and make the usb media yourself
[Desktop PC/All-in-One]Windows 7 and USB 3.0 driver installation for Skylake(H110/H170/Z170/B150/Q150/Q170) and Braswell platform | Official Support | ASUS USA

Now if you're talking about a kaby lake mother board it's a little different but is indeed possible.

Check your computer/motherboard manufacturer's website, it may contain win7 drivers for your product.
