From Windows Explorer in MiniXP Enviroment locate Windows and Recovery folders of the Windows 10. Replace these two folders with Windows and Recovery folders stored in Windows.old folder.

Each user accounts have NTUSER.DAT hive file you going to replace your user account NTUSER.DAT hive file with the NTUSER.DAT hive file stored within Windows.old folder. For example i have one user account named FreeBooter and its NTUSER.DAT hive file stored at C:\Users\FreeBooter user profile folder.

    I tried that, it fails.
On the reboot after doing all that, I see a win10 logo, and it says preparing to repair your computer. Then I see the keyboard layout. The keyboard layout has no connection to the keyboard so I can not select anything.

I restored windows and recover folder and copied ntuser back where should be booted and saw it was unactivated.
I told tech lady I added a hard drive to clone and it went all weird like and foobared itself.

The tech lady was great, immediately fixed the activation issue. Ran some command that pulled a key code from the bios and she pasted it into the new key code box. She really did say this wont happen again.

I have a copy of win7 pro unused with COA and keycode and will install to the other drive, not going to bother downgrading this win10 now.

What a pain, but I can see the way forward at least. Maybe someday I will get ti use this win10 OS, if a great TV program gets developed, nothing out these is any good.

I started wondering what the hhh happened since win10 was activated and then went crazy. So I logged into my microsoft account on the web. I viewed my devices, and the PC was there and it said there was no problems. Then I saw a link to chat tech support and that worked great. Without that help, no one I think could have fixed this. I have suffered to much angst trying to clone, downgrade, really weird things happening, kept hitting the wall, I know when to give up, too much opposition to go back to win7, just not meant to be, I dont care if I use up a win7 install, the relief of knowing it will get resolved is good.. I wanted to move forward with win10 cause I know MS is slowly killing off WMC support. Eventually the program guide wont be updated anymore. It costs them money to pay a company to provide guide data.
