Build 1709 glitches

I just installed windows build 1709 And I'm having strange glitches with the start button . Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt and makes it hard To work with. Has anybody else had this problem and Knows how to fix it, I would really appreciate it.

ps... the on-screen keyboard now does dictation which I think is awesome!!

Open PowerShell as a administrator.

Execute below command and press Enter key.

Get-AppxPackage AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml}

This tells Windows to install those default apps again. Give it some time and allow it to finish, even if nothing appears to happen at first. Even if you see an error message, restart and examine Start Menu.

Ok - have you tried putting drive in another pc, external caddy, or used a live linux drive to confirm the drive has not coincidentally failed (or worse a partial mobo failure). You could install an older version of windows 10 in a vhd to see if drive works fine on that.

It is working as I type in build 15063, this was a known issue in build 16294 and was corrected in build 16299. I doubt that MS is concerned about build 17004 this close to the release of The FCU.

I have build 1709 on my test machine ( via insider updates)and if MS thinks this is the RTM then they had better think again. Nothing but event viewer errors with Defender, Miracast, and a few others that I can't be bothered to name. Every time MS update's the OS there is nothing but agro, I personally see nothing to this latest update what so ever.
