But, yes, you still can. Just download the latest version, install it and enter the key on the sticker on the bottom of your laptop after installing Windows 10 **Pro**
You do not need a key, Once the computer connects to Microsoft servers it will activate, As long as your using the the same version of Win 10 Home or Pro that was installed before even if you switch from 32 or 64 bit it will activate.

If when you are installing and it asks for a key you just press skip, I think it is still called skip it's been a while for me since I installed Win 10 and it asked.

I was going to do this a few days ago but other jobs needed doing first, Just to clarify before i begin let me explain in clarity
On the laptop it originally had Windows 7 pro installed, which i upgraded to Windows 10 Pro before the FREE cut off period ended. I then installed Ubuntu to try it out which wiped Windows 10 pro from the laptop.

I now wish to put Windows 10 pro back on it in place of Ubuntu.
Am i right by your replies above that i can do this without incurring a charge, And will not need to enter a KEY as was previously on the laptop as an upgrade.

You mention "When you install Windows, press Shift +F10 to get a command prompt, type Diskpart, Select disk 0, Clean, Exit. Then carry on."
Do i do this before going about re-installing windows 10 Pro ?

Sorry about the questions but i want to be absolutely sure before i proceed.

Yes. @sml156 was right - you don't need to enter it (but you can if you want) as it was previously activated. You can skip entering the key - just say "I don't have one" when asked. Once you connect to internet you'll get activated automatically.

During. When you see the screen asking where you want to install it.

Just make sure you download and install 10 Pro as 10 Home wouldn't activate.

Just a FYI - the 'free' upgrade period actually never ended (despite what MS said). I used a Windows 7 Home Premium product key (entered during the W10 install) to get a free Windows 10 Home license just yesterday.

Are you trying to run windows setup from within Ubuntu?

You will need to clean install. Boot from the dvd.
