Installing Windows 10 in a dual boot tablet
Hello!
I work in a computer store and a customer had a dual boot MLS Magic tablet which had Android and Windows. The problem was that the Windows partition (16GB) was almost full without having any applications installed! She asked if we could format the tablet, get rid of the Android and clean install Windows 10 only. Due to the lack of space starting the Windows Setup inside Windows was useless as we got stuck at the "free some space to continue" screen. After careful examination of the BIOS (F2 to enter), I saw that the timeout for boot selection was only 2 seconds, so no matter what the Boot priority was I could not boot from USB to Windows Setup (didn't have time to find the correct hotkey). I changed that to 8 seconds, so I had time to find out that the hotkey was F8 (FN+F8 in fact). So I managed to boot in UEFI mode GPT formatted USB Flash drive (see Rufus settings) and start Windows 10 Setup. After deleting almost 10 paritions, I finally had the whole 32GB space free to start installing Windows 10. No key required, it is taken automatically from Firmware. I'll let you know if I have some difficulties with drivers etc!
I just wanted to share this to help others facing the same issue.
