OK, and there is no difference in the bios settings? Could it be a hard drive issue?

I just tried the full clean install from the ISO and after it gets to the last step and restarts the laptop, all I get is a black screen. When I restart the laptop, it gets the flag then the circle of dots starts then freezes. No disk activity. Same results on two laptops same model. I really do not think that this laptop is compatible with Windows 10. The N5030 works (Intel chipset) but not the M5030 (AMD chipset).

By the way, thanks for that link, it may help with other installs.

Ok, so I did an image restore of Windows 10, we use Acronis, from a different (HP) laptop with the same AMD chipset. It restored fine and is running fine now with Windows 10. I then applied the GenuineTicket and it is now activated.

What this shows is there is a major issue with the install because Windows 10 runs fine on an M5030. Just can't install it.
