Put it to sleep like in the posts just above yours. I am on a Dell laptop with Intel graphics also. There is no permanent fix anyone can do other then Microjunk, it's not make/model/hardware/driver specific. This problem started in windows 8 and got carried over. Win 10 is probably at least 50% win 8 under the hood. It started for me when I put win 8 on a few months ago so I had a valid copy to get the upgrade. And just like this there are forums full of failed fixes for it in win 8.
If nothing happens then your power button settings have been changed. Try looking in your bios to see if there is a setting in there. It should go to sleep, you will see your hard drive light flicker for a few seconds and your monitor will go completely black(not the lighted black) then just quick tap it again to wake it up.
I just stumbled on to a method that is working every time I try it. Shut you PC off, don't restart it. If I restart I get the black screen every time. I just sat here and shut my pc off several times, my screen came up every time.
