Just give it time if it gets to around 98% 99% and then it will do a last warm reboot which may take you to a blank screen with your cursor visable if this happens reboot again and press F2 or which ever button sends you to Bios and look under GPU settings multi monitor or similar wording and disable multi monitor setting exit and windows welcome sign will boot in...hope this helps ( running a ASUS g20AJ)
It took about 40 minutes to install...for me, but it can depend on your HDD and internet speed.
It went blank and restarted a couple times before finishing the installation.
Thank you! Just seen your video on YouTube, going to try this and fingers crossed I'll finally have windows 10

Same problem upgrading from 7. I just reverted back to 7 and deleted my two additional monitors. I'll retry now and give an update when finished.

I had that problem yesterday. I ended up turning off my PC powers and then the install recovered Windows 8.1
TODAY after realising my NVIDIA drivers were months old I first installed the latest Nvidia drivers from their app.
Then in I tried to install Windows 10 again. This time instead of a blank screen I got a circle showing the progress of the update so in my case it was lack of compatible drivers.
the install is going on but you just can't see it if your drivers are not up to date or have some conflict. I'm guessing that if you waited with the black screen for a couple of hours by then Windows 10 would install updated drivers and after that things would become visible again.
my PC is updating now as I write but I can see the upgrade now so I'll know where it's at. Hope this helps.
all I did in my case was update my Nvidia drivers BEFORE installing Windows 10 and this time I didn't get a black screen during install.
